A Heart for the Families Who Need It Most

I know what it's like to experience Christmas with more than enough, and I know what it's like to go without. Growing up, my family experienced seasons of hardship, including living in hotels, relying on government assistance, and going without basic necessities.

Christmas looked different during those seasons. I experienced firsthand what it feels like when things aren't always easy and when having a Christmas to remember isn't something every family can take for granted.

Those experiences have stayed with me.

Today, as a husband, father, and minister, I carry a heart for children and families who may be walking through similar circumstances. I think about the children who are excited for Christmas but may not know what will be waiting for them. I think about the families who want to give their children a special Christmas but are struggling to make ends meet.

That's a big part of why Project Christmas exists.

It's More Than a Gift

At Project Christmas, we believe a gift can mean so much more than what's inside the box. It's an opportunity to remind a child that they are seen, loved, and valued. It's a chance to bring joy into a home that may be walking through a difficult season. And it's an opportunity for our community to put love into action.

But ultimately, our mission points to something far greater than anything we could ever put under a Christmas tree.

The greatest gift ever given wasn't wrapped in paper or placed beneath a tree. It was given on a cross.

We give because He first gave to us.

Just as a child doesn't have to earn the gift we place in their hands, we could never earn the gift of salvation Jesus has freely offered us. It's a gift of grace, given out of love.

That's the heart behind Project Christmas. We want to do more than provide gifts. We want our actions to reflect the love of Jesus and point people toward the greatest gift they could ever receive.

I can't change every family's circumstances, but I believe we can make a difference in the lives we reach. And through every gift, every act of kindness, and every person who chooses to get involved, we have an opportunity to share hope and reflect the love of Christ.

Thank you for being part of Project Christmas and helping us bring the hope, joy, and love of Jesus to children and families who need it most.
